Mark Wilson, CPA is the Managing Partner of the firm. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and has over 17 years experience in finance and operational management. The firm has been servicing a hand full of clients since 2003. However, Mr. Wilson decided to focus on building the practice in the beginning of 2009. Since then, the firm and professional staff have grown. We believe our experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting gives us a better perspective than your average CPA.
Mr. Wilson co-founding GEMC (a Full Eagle Mortgage Banker) in 2007 and continued as the Chief Financial Officer until February 2010. In that capacity, he was successful in obtaining warehouse lines, Full Eagle approval with FHA and managing correspondent relationships. His expertise in the mortgage industry is recognized by his peers and often works with clients in navigating this very challenging industry. We provide audit and consultation services to many mortgage clients through out the Western USA.
Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Valley Vista Mortgage, a San Diego, California based Mortgage Bank that was consistently ranked by the San Diego Business Journal as the second largest mortgage bank in San Diego.
Prior to joining Valley Vista Mortgage, Mr. Wilson was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Credit Solutions Corporation (CSC) a Non-Bank Financial Institution. In that capacity, he managed the portfolios and assisted in raising additional sources of funding through "quasi securitizations". He also successfully implemented "new" GAAP treatment for recognizing revenues.
Mr. Wilson was a public accountant with CWGB&S, Certified Public Accountants prior to working for CSC. He served as the Audit Manager for the firm specializing in the mortgage business. He logged in many hours auditing mortgage companies for investors, banks, shareholders, and compliance with FHA and other covenants. He has extensive experience in all types of tax preparation including federal and state income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes and county property taxes. He began his public accounting career with Viera & Wilson in 1995.
